Job Summary:
Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Fairfield is looking for a part-time Event Coordinator to join our team. We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated professional with a keen interest in event planning, management, and execution. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, have excellent communication and organizational skills, and be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. This role involves working under 4 hours per day with the added benefits of health insurance, dental coverage, paid training, and paid vacations.
Job Description:
As an Event Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for organizing, coordinating, and managing all aspects of events, from conception to execution. You’ll work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, plan and coordinate all the logistics of the events, manage the event budgets, supervise other event staff, and ensure that everything runs smoothly on the day of the event.
Responsibilities:
– Meeting with clients to understand their event requirements
– Planning event aspects, such as venue, seating, dining, and guest list
– Coordinating event logistics, including transportation and accommodation for guests
– Managing event set-up, tear down, and follow-ups
– Establishing relationships with vendors and negotiating contracts
– Carefully adhering to budgets and ensuring financial and contractual obligations are met
Requirements:
– Proven experience as an event coordinator or similar role
– Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
– Excellent organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
– Strong problem-solving ability with a keen eye for detail
– Computer savvy; proficient in MS Office applications
Educational Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, public relations or relevant field is preferred
Experience:
– Previous experience in coordinating events is preferred, but not required
