About the position
The EV Charging Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions for electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and user experience of EV charging systems, while also providing technical support and troubleshooting software issues.
Responsibilities
Ā Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions for EV charging infrastructure.

Ā Provide technical support and liaise with customers to understand their requirements.

Ā Ensure software functionality post-upgrades and conduct thorough testing.

Ā Communicate instructions to project stakeholders and address customer inquiries.

Ā File and track bugs from identification to resolution, ensuring thorough verification.

Requirements
Ā Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, or a related technology field.

Ā 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
,
Ā 2+ years of hands-on experience with EV Charging Equipment.
,
Ā 2+ years of hands-on experience in software development.
,
Ā Experience with OCPP (v1.6J and v2.x) and OCPI protocols, as well as Hubject and OICP testing.
,
Ā Familiarity with IoT technologies and protocols such as MQTT, HTTP, and TCP/IP.
,
Ā Ability/experience to edit/create/troubleshoot on JSON, API (SOAP and REST).

Ā Scripting for automation and code optimization is a plus.

Ā Able to work with domestic and international teams.

Ā Awareness of NEVI requirements.

Ā Strong communication skills with attention to detail.
