Estimating and Pricing Specialist (Associate or Experienced)

The Boeing Company is a leading aerospace manufacturer and defense contractor, seeking an Estimating and Pricing Specialist to join their Phantom Works team in El Segundo, CA. The role involves developing estimates and cost proposals for new business activities while collaborating with proposal teams and providing analytical support. Responsibilities Develops, estimates, and prices from technical requirements through the design, build, and aftermarket support stages of the program Participates in evaluation of requests for proposal, substantiates routine estimates/pricing and assembles price proposals Performs analyses and provide recommendations in support of pricing and estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.) Coordinates and collaborates with proposal teams and cost element functional owners to develop appropriate basis of estimate and substantiation of cost estimates, proposals and other related business decision data Supports the development/application/maintenance of rates and factors for estimating, pricing, and proposals Identifies, assesses and implements changes to processes, tools and techniques to simplify estimating and pricing methodologies and improve cost estimating accuracy Provides fact-finding, negotiation and audit support of cost proposal artifacts and coordinate responses through proposal teams Supports, prepares and briefs senior leader-level presentations Skills Bachelor's Degree or higher 1+ years of experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets 1+ years of experience in a business-related role Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required) 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience with United States Government (USG) Cost Accounting Standards and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Experience using data analysis to drive decision making and the understanding of the proposal process Benefits Health insurance Flexible spending accounts Health savings accounts Retirement savings plans Life and disability insurance programs Programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work Company Overview Boeing offers commercial, defense airplanes, space, security systems, and global services.
