Estate Planning Associate Attorney - Client Education & Business Development Focus
Long Hagan Huff-Harris is a respected boutique law firm serving clients across Greater Boston and the South Shore. They are seeking a licensed Massachusetts attorney with experience in Estate Planning to educate clients, lead consultations, and drive business development while collaborating with senior attorneys on legal strategies.ResponsibilitiesLead Potential New Client (PNC) consultations, primarily focused on estate planning, with the ability to identify needs across all practice areasEducate clients clearly and compassionately, helping them understand their legal options and next stepsConvert consultations into engaged clients and guide them through the intake and onboarding processBuild and maintain strong referral relationships with financial advisors, CPAs, realtors, business owners, and other professionalsRepresent the firm at workshops, community events, networking functions, and business development meetingsPartner with the Marketing and Intake teams to improve conversion rates, follow-up systems, and referral trackingExecute outreach strategies designed to grow new business across the firmDraft and implement estate planning documents, including but not limited to: Revocable and irrevocable trusts, Wills, Powers of attorney and healthcare proxiesFile and manage probate matters, including petitions, accountings, real estate transactions, and full estate settlementsParticipate in trust and estate administration, assisting with tax filings, beneficiary concerns, and distribution planningMake limited court appearances for uncontested probate mattersCollaborate with senior attorneys on more complex estate, tax, and asset-planning strategiesContinue developing substantive legal skills through mentorship, collaboration, and hands-on exposureSkillsLicensed Massachusetts attorney in good standingAt least 1 year of Estate Planning and/or Trusts and Estates experiencePersonable, empathetic, and confident in client-facing consultation settingsNatural relationship-builder who enjoys educating clients and guiding decision-makingMotivated by results and excited by commission-based, performance-driven compensationOrganized and comfortable managing multiple consultations, leads, and follow-upsStrong communicator with excellent follow-throughComfortable with Microsoft Office and Clio systems (or willing to learn)BenefitsCompetitive Pay401K Company Matching (Up to 4%)50% Employer Paid Health InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceFSA & Dependent Care Savings AccountsLife InsuranceContinuous Professional DevelopmentNotary Oath and Renewal Fees ReimbursementHybrid Work Schedule27 Days PTO; Vacation (10), Personal (4), and Paid Holidays Off (13).5 Days Sick PTO, AnnuallyCompany OverviewLong Hagan Huff-Harris focuses on Family Law, Trusts & Estates, and Business Law.
