ESPS Test Engineer

We are looking for a Test Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for designing, assembling, and commissioning test assets of our next generation Electrical VTOL aircraft Energy Storage and Power Systems (ESPS).Due to the nature of the work required for this position, this is an onsite opportunity. You will be required to work from our Mountain View and Fremont offices. What you will do: Support the development and commissioning of development and integration battery test assetsDesign mechanical and electrical fixtures for battery test assets, including module/pack cycling and manufacturing end-of-line test stationsDevelop wiring diagrams and create harness drawingsTroubleshoot and repair electrical and software issues on the test assetsSupport the development of test automation scripts and Graphical User Interface (GUI) on LabVIEW and/or PythonAutomate test execution, data collection and post-processing to increase test cadence and reporting, ease operation and safetyWork closely with a cross functional team to develop test requirements and test plansWrite test specifications, operation manuals and test procedures Requirements: B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related engineering discipline2 years hands-on experience designing, fabricating, and assembling tests assets or stations for entirely new hardwareExperience working with battery systems (high voltage preferred)Experience integrating off-the-shelf test equipment (power supplies, electronic loads, etc.) and DAQs into test setupsExperience with data acquisition devices (NI, Keysight, LabJack) and transducersStrong interpersonal and communication skillsComfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environmentThis role will require 10% of travel to external test facilities Compensation and Benefits:In addition to offering a great work environment and the opportunity to be part of the team making electric autonomous flight a reality, at Wisk, we offer excellent total rewards which include a competitive base salary, annual bonus, long term incentive, 401K, health benefits and much more.Job Type: Full-timePay Range the Company expects to pay: $101,983 - $119,980 per year - The starting base salary within this range for this role varies based on factors such as your geographical location, and your relevant job-related experience that is consistent with a business necessity.
