Job Posting Title: ESPN Digital Video Social Content Intern, Remote, Spring 2026Req ID: 10133211Job Description: About the Role & Program The ESPN YouTube Team oversees the daily creation and curation of video content for ESPN-branded social channels. They produce videos, write headlines and evaluate stories and videos for accuracy, fairness and social/viral potential. The approximate dates of this program are January through May 2026. What You Will Do Interns will assist in tracking performance metrics and video analytics on ESPN platforms, enhancing the distribution model on all channels. You must have a commanding knowledge of search engine optimization, be organized, and be able to recognize unique and compelling content that will thrive in mobile/social environments. As an intern, you will develop an awareness of the operations of multiple ESPN units in order to collaborate successfully in identifying and/or developing up-to-the-minute video content optimized for multiple platforms and user needs. Responsibilities include: • Participating with teams internally and externally in the creation and distribution of content that best activates new audiences • Navigating digital social platforms and applying that expertise to expand reach, engagement, and distribution of content • Analyzing usage and performance metrics that can lead to content enhancements and improvements • Maintaining proficiency and knowledge in latest trends and best practices for video distribution on YouTube channels and ESPN Platforms • Producing, creating and editing videos. This will include headline writing, tagging, managing an overall style and voice and working with subject matter experts for specific content types Required Qualifications & Skills • Previous experience working in a media environment, (academic or internship) creating and managing content and publishing to live streams • Strong base of current sports knowledge, including teams, players and storylines and appreciation of news and story play • Excellent headline writing skills and an understanding of optimal tactics for content distribution • Ability to create and tell stories in a fast-paced, highly competitive environment and juggle multiple varied tasks during a typical work day • Strong verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications & Skills • Experience working with a variety of digital content management systems (academic or internship) • Understands and follows the latest social media trends • Non-linear editing skills (Quantel, Final Cut, Avid, Premiere, After Effects, WSC, etc.) • Experience in editing content, specific to the needs of multiple social media platforms • Has a good appreciation of pop culture, understands how sports fans are consuming content on mobile devices and assists with understanding the tastes of ESPN users Education • Junior or Senior year preferred • Major or previous coursework in Communications, Journalism, Sports Media or related major preferred Eligibility Requirements & Program Information Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements: • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program. • Be at least 18 years of age • Possess unrestricted work authorization Additional Information • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship • The approximate dates of this internship are January through May 2026 • This internship is a remote position and requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace • Fully available from Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week.
