E&S Habitational Underwriter
What you will be doing
As an E&S Habitational Underwriter, you will leverage your underwriting expertise to deliver tailored solutions for clients in California. This is a production-driven role, where you'll be expected to achieve results while demonstrating attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a customer-first mentality. You will be responsible for managing complex risks and building relationships with wholesale distributors, contributing to the firms ongoing growth.
The ideal candidate will be motivated to expand their responsibilities and driven to meet goals. Youll have the opportunity for significant professional growth, as well as the autonomy to manage your own workload.
What you need to succeed
5+ years of E&S underwriting experience, with a strong preference for Habitational experience.
Proven experience with commercial property underwriting is acceptable if Habitational experience is not present.
Established relationships with wholesale distributors in California.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
A proactive, results-oriented approach, with a willingness to go the extra mile when needed.
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
Ability to work remotely with flexibility, while still meeting deadlines and producing results.
Familiarity with underwriting TIV up to $50MM per location and authority to review up to $10MM in risks.
