Job Description
Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking candidates for an Environmental Services and Laundry Director position at Berks Heim, a 420 bed nursing home and rehab facility, located in Leesport, PA. This is a management position, responsible for developing and executing custodial solutions to meet customer needs. Responsible for servicing and/or maintaining a physical location or site to client specifications. Manages the day to day operations of the Environmental Services (Housekeeping) and Laundry Departments, including, but not limited to, overall cleanliness of the facility, patient/resident room cleaning, floor care, trash removal and biohazardous waste handling. Drives patient satisfaction scores.
Job Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
? Leadership - Lead, mentor, engage and develop teams to maximize their contributions, including recruiting, assessing, training, coaching and managing performance. Ensure facilities services connects to the appropriate Executional Framework. Consistently utilize the GROW Coaching model. Reward and recognize employees. Ensure safety and sanitation standards in all operations.
? Client Relationship - Develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationship. Deliver and model WEST as the foundation for delivering excellent customer service. Identify client needs and communicate operational progress. Develop custodial program to meet client and customer demands and specifications.
? Financial Performance - Responsible for building revenue and managing budget which includes labor, supplies, equipment and related services/materials as well as ensuring the completion and maintenance of P&L statements. Adopt all Aramark processes and systems, eliminate custom/manual reports. Understand performance metrics, data, and order and inventory trends; educate teams on key levers to improve margins.
? Productivity - Implement and maintain GM agenda for both labor and facilities initiatives. Create value through efficient operations, appropriate cost controls, and profit management. Full compliance with Operational Excellence fundamentals for facilities and labor targets.
? Compliance - Facilities Services
Additional Responsibilities:
? Manages the budget, forecasting and ensure the completion and maintenance of P&L statements. Deliver client and company financial targets.
? Adopt all Aramark processes and systems, understand performance metrics, data, order and inventory trends; educate teams on key levers to improve margins.
? Oversees the management of the day-to-day operations of the Environmental Services Department (Housekeeping) and Laundry/Linen Department
? Ensures the Distribution of supplies, holds shift huddles, scheduling and training. Monitors performance.
? Manages floor care, trash removal and biohazardous waste removal, overall cleanliness of the building, and patient room cleaning.
? Participates in Environment of Care rounding and ensures that patient satisfaction rounding is conducted by management team. Provides service recovery to drive patient satisfaction and HCAHPS scores.
? Conducts quality audits and inspections.
? Communicates and builds relationships with other department leaders
? Plans, controls and directs all cleaning, sanitizing and waste removal functions within a healthcare facility to meet operating and financial goals, client objectives and customer needs

Qualifications
? Requires 3 to 5 years of Environmental Services experience and 3+ years of EVS Management experience
? Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
? Healthcare experience within a Long Term Care facility is preferred.
? Management experience in Environmental Services, housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial services will be considered.
? NOTE: This client location requires all individuals working on site to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before start date.
