Environmental Scientist/Geologist/Engineer

They are seeking an entry-level Environmental Scientist/Geologist/Engineer to support various environmental assessments and remediation projects in the NYC-metro area. Responsibilities Phase I Environmental Site Assessments Phase II/Subsurface/Remedial Investigations including logging borings and soil, groundwater, soil vapor, and indoor air sampling Remediation oversight and community air monitoring related to brownfield redevelopment Oversight of subcontractors such as drillers, excavation companies, and remedial contractors Data interpretation, report preparation and writing (Work Plans, Phase II and Remedial Investigation Reports, Remedial Plans, etc.) Skills Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science Up to 3 years of experience in the environmental assessment and remediation field A valid driver's license and willingness to drive in the NYC-metro area Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once New York City experience is preferred OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification preferred Familiarity with EQuIS a plus Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision insurance Vacation and Sick time Flexible work schedules and locations 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching Additional Voluntary Life Insurance Short- and Long-Term Disability Stock Ownership Tuition Reimbursement Training and professional development courses Opportunities for community outreach through internal networks Charitable donation match Transit/parking program Company Overview AKRF is an environmental planning and engineering consulting firm.
