Job title: Environmental Compliance Specialist - REMOTE Company: ATTAINX INC Job description: Job Title: Environmental Compliance Specialist Location: REMOTE Clearance: US Citizen / Suitability Clearance AttainX, Inc. is in search for an Environmental Compliance Specialist with strong environmental compliance background to support our government client. Qualifications: Must Have: • A BS/BA degree in engineering, science, or business management. • 2 or more years of relevant experience consulting operations of rural electric cooperatives, rural telecommunications providers, municipal organizations, and tribal entities. • Knowledge of and be proficient in consulting on the National Environmental Policy Act, Endangered Species Act, and/or Clean Water Act. • Familiarity with the Endangered Species Act Section 7, to be able to provide consultations related to botany, terrestrial and aquatic biology. • Knowledge of Clean Water Act Sections 401, 402 and 404 permits for projects and related activities in Federal jurisdictional wetlands, waterbodies and floodplains. • Two (2) years of experience reviewing legal documents associated government contracts and the broadband/telecommunication industry. • Working level knowledge of Rural Development program and project management practices, policies, and procedures (preferred). • Ability to work with government, regulatory agencies, and contractor personnel to problem solve and formulate strategies for success. • Excellent written and verbal communications skills. • Extensive experience using MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Excel, and/or other MS Office tools. • Fully vaccinated against COVID, a granted exception to vaccination for COVID, or able to meet entry and testing requirements for entrance and work in federal buildings. • U.S. Citizenship Job Duties: • Provides professional guidance and expertise in the areas of environmental and ecological sciences. Interpret environmental policies, guidance, and compliance tools. • Support program and project reviews in environmental regulations and policy across the Rural Development working areas of electric, telecommunications, and water/environmental programs. • Convey ideas, findings, and technical information in a clear and logical manner. Present or provide technical or non-technical information or briefings on environmental issues as a speaker at public meetings. • Prepare technical information with clarity and precision for diverse audiences. Evaluate environment laws, regulations, Executive Orders, directives, or proposed legislation and prepare analytical reports and recommendations for agency action. • Coordinate and conduct liaison with other environmental agencies such as (but not limited to) the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), State Governments and Tribal entities. • Query and interpret reports from an automated document management system such as SharePoint About Us At AttainX, you will be joining a team of highly qualified individuals who solve today’s challenges, transform to future state, and execute innovate technology solutions.
