As an Entry Level Water Engineer, you'll be part of our dynamic Resilience Water team, contributing to projects that make a real difference in people's lives. About the Role We're seeking talented individuals to join our team in either East Windsor or Fair Lawn, New Jersey. As an Entry Level Water Engineer, you'll work alongside experienced professionals, supporting the development of water, wastewater, and stormwater projects. You'll have the opportunity to interact with clients, develop your technical capabilities, and be part of our comprehensive onboarding and development programs designed to foster professional growth and innovation. Key Responsibilities Support the evaluation, planning, and design of projects related to water/wastewater/stormwater treatment and conveyance, including pipelines, pumping facilities, and treatment plants. Assist with capital financing and identify possible funding opportunities for projects. Contribute to project management activities, ensuring timely completion and submission of projects within budget. Support sustainability and resilience projects by conducting vulnerability assessments, mitigation planning, and designing solutions for utilities, municipalities, and cities. Provide professional engineering services during construction, including construction observation, review of shop drawings, responses to RFIs, and permit closeouts. Assess, develop, and support management of sustainability and resilience projects. Identify and support funding applications and grant management services. Support Asset Management projects, performing data analytics and condition assessments. Prepare reports, presentations, and other audio-visual materials, and participate in client meetings. Ensure project compliance with Arcadis practices and quality, health, and safety standards. Learn, design, and manage databases, SQL server, and cloud-based computing services. Utilize digital tools to enhance customer experience, team collaboration, and project delivery. Travel may be required for project site visits, client meetings, and other project-related activities. Essential Qualifications & Skills To succeed in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or a closely related engineering discipline). Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills. A proactive and diligent work ethic, with the ability to embrace new projects and challenges. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Self-motivation, a team-oriented mindset, and adaptability. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to water/wastewater/stormwater. Familiarity with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and Microsoft Office applications. Preferred Qualifications Prior work or internship experience in a design or consulting engineering firm or municipal work environment. Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and/or Revit. Compensation & Benefits Arcadis offers a competitive salary range of $59,800 - $97,500 for this position, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, EAP, 401K, STD, LTD, AD&D, life insurance, paid parental leave, and reward & recognition programs. You'll also enjoy nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year.
