About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Technology Data Analyst I to join our Technology Planning and Analysis team within Business Operations. In this role, you'll work with your partners to create comprehensive assessment strategies that will be used to analyze collections of work being added to our technology roadmap. This includes assessments related to cost modeling, sequencing and dependency planning, prioritization, and taxonomy buildout.
You are analytical, resourceful, and intellectually curious. You navigate through ambiguity and are a problem solver. The ideal candidate makes data-driven decisions, focuses on the customer, and can build trust with all areas of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Organize multiple sources of data to build multivariate structures that help analyze and drive decisions for the organization at-large
Create and deploy tools and dashboards for end users that power data-driven decisions
Build strategic decision-making frameworks and write scripts that help automate and scale operations
Work with partners to establish and identify goals; define measurable objectives and key results and relevant metrics for the business; ensure we track and measure them effectively
Be a passionate steward for our technology roadmap – communicate status and plans to partners as appropriate
Achieve organizational goals, driving through challenges, handle multiple priorities, and ensure alignment with your partners
Translate complex data findings into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Support forecasting, funding, tracking, and reporting on projects
Contribute to ways of working and resource management initiatives
Required Qualifications and Skills
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Programming, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, along with equivalent work experience
Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of informatics, data analysis, and management consulting (specifically in a quantitative or data-heavy role)
Programming Skills: Experience working with data and data manipulation software such as R, SQL, and Python
Visualization Tools: Experience building dashboards using tools like Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms
Database Skills: Proficient in writing database queries and scripts
Technical Understanding: Demonstrated understanding of different types of existing and emerging technologies and their ecosystems
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working with engineering and operational teams to develop and launch products
Communication Skills: Ability to translate requirements to technical and non-technical audiences

Compensation and Benefits
The hiring range for this position in California is $77,300 to $103,600 annually, and in New York is $81,000 to $108,500 annually, based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled each week may change based on business needs. The base salary actually offered will consider internal equity and may also vary depending on the applicant's geographic location, work-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
