Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surveying Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing field data collection using Total Station and GPS equipment, conducting boundary surveys, and construction staking. This role involves producing plats, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, easement exhibits, and base maps. You will work closely with licensed Land Surveyors and Field Crews to ensure the accuracy and precision of all surveying projects.
Responsibilities
? Perform field data collection using Total Station and GPS equipment.
? Conduct boundary surveys and construction staking.
? Produce plats, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, easement exhibits, and base maps.
? Collaborate closely with licensed Land Surveyors and Field Crews.
Essential Skills
? Proficiency in Total Station and GPS equipment.
? Experience in boundary surveys and construction staking.
? Ability to produce plats, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, easement exhibits, and base maps.
? Experience working with Carlson and CAD software.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
? Experience in general labor, construction laborer, landscaping, survey rodman, and survey instrument man roles.
? Proficiency in AutoCAD.
? Knowledge of Trimble GPS systems.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position with normal working hours between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM, with some overtime required. The role involves working on a variety of commercial and industrial projects, multi-family and single-family developments, and public works-related projects for various local jurisdictions. The work environment is dynamic and may involve fieldwork in various conditions.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
