Entry Level Remote Network Engineer for Southwest Airlines - $32/hour

About the Role We're seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our team on a remote basis. As a Network Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Southwest Airlines' network infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic team, develop your expertise, and drive the future of Southwest Airlines. Key Responsibilities Plan and execute new network implementations, as well as improve the efficiency of existing networks Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software Procure network hardware and manage subcontractors associated with network installation Design routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security Recommend changes to improve network designs and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes Provide technical support to junior staff and guidance on network-related issues May perform other work-related tasks as directed by management Essential Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field; or equivalent formal training Intermediate-level knowledge and experience in: Network engineering Network hardware/platforms (Cisco IOS, Cisco NXOS) Communication protocols (TCP/IP) and routing protocols WAN networking Network analytic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark) Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex network issues Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a data center environment Background in network security and compliance Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong technical skills, including knowledge of network protocols, hardware, and software Ability to work effectively in a remote environment Career Growth Opportunities At Workwarp, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their skills.
