Entry Level Quality Assurance Engineer (Remote)
Job_Summary:

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will validate software products by developing and executing test plans, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that applications meet the required standards for functionality and performance.
Responsibilities:
ā¢ Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, test scripts, and related documentation to expand test coverage.
ā¢ Perform various types of testing including functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and smoke testing.
ā¢ Inspect, analyze, and decompose business and functional requirements to ensure clarity, consistency, and testability.
ā¢ Collaborate with developers and product managers to clarify acceptance criteria and identify edge cases early in the development cycle.
ā¢ Monitor and track the resolution of defects, coordinating with engineers to diagnose, report, and resolve issues efficiently.
ā¢ Write and manage test data and configurations across different test environments.
ā¢ Provide product demonstrations and internal training as needed to support release cycles or new features.
ā¢ Actively participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.
ā¢ Continuously improve QA processes, methodologies, and tools based on best practices and lessons learned.
ā¢ Maintain a deep understanding of product architecture, integrations, and real-world use cases to validate application behavior in production-like conditions.
ā¢ Serve as a champion for product quality, end-user experience, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
-Required:
ā¢ Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
ā¢ 25 years of experience in software quality assurance, preferably in a SaaS, healthcare, or enterprise software environment.
ā¢ Proficiency with test case management tools (e.g., Zephyr, TestRail).
ā¢ Hands-on experience using issue tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
ā¢ Working knowledge of databases such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server, including writing SQL queries and procedures.
ā¢ Understanding of web services testing in SOA or microservices environments.
ā¢ Exposure to version control tools (e.g., Bitbucket, Git).
ā¢ Experience testing within a CI/CD pipeline and Agile DevOps workflows.
ā¢ Highly analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
ā¢ Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of independently driving tasks to completion.
ā¢ Effective communicator with excellent written and verbal skills comfortable presenting information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
ā¢ Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment with changing priorities and competing deadlines.
ā¢ Passionate about quality and user experience; always advocating for the end user.
ā¢ Demonstrated ability to think critically and abstractly when facing complex or ambiguous problems.
ā¢ Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills; comfortable working in cross-functional teams.
ā¢ Eagerness to continuously learn and grow technical and professional skills.

ā¢ Exposure to public health systems or working in highly regulated industries is a strong plus.
ā¢ Relevant QA certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are a plus.
