Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance on equipment, machinery, and facilities to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. This role involves troubleshooting issues, conducting repairs, and performing preventive maintenance to support operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on equipment, machinery, and facilities.
• Troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and support operational efficiency.
• Read and interpret blueprints or schematics.
• Use electrical metering tools for various maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Document maintenance work performed, including repairs and parts used.
• Assist in creating and maintaining maintenance schedules and logs.
• Provide support during facility upgrades or new installations.
Essential Skills
• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience with troubleshooting industrial machinery.
• Ability to read blueprints or schematics.
• Experience with both preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance.
• Proficiency with electrical metering tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience or knowledge with HVAC and electrical systems is a plus.
Work Environment
The work environment is a non-temperature controlled facility.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Altamont, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
