Entry-Level Landscape Architect

As an Entry-Level Landscape Architect, you will be part of a collaborative team dedicated to delivering innovative site and landscape designs while contributing to meaningful projects that promote sustainability.ResponsibilitiesSupport multidisciplinary teams in the development of innovative site and landscape designs forParks, open spaces, and recreational environmentsUrban streetscapes and mobility corridorsCampus, civic, and institutional projectsGreen infrastructure, stormwater systems, and ecological restorationAssist with conceptual design, site planning, 2D/3D graphics, visualizations, and presentation materialsContribute to the production of construction documents, including layout, grading, planting, and detailed technical drawingsConduct site research, environmental analysis, and inventory documentation to inform design decisionsPrepare high-quality exhibits, diagrams, and visual storytelling materials for clients and stakeholdersCollaborate proactively with project managers and technical leads across disciplines and officesParticipate in field observations, construction support tasks, and post-occupancy evaluations as neededSkillsBachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited programFoundational understanding of site design principles, landscape systems, sustainable design, and environmental stewardshipProficiency in industry-standard tools and software, including AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), SketchUp, Lumion, or other modeling toolsStrong graphic communication skills and an ability to distill complex ideas into compelling visualsEffective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to collaborate in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environmentDemonstrated enthusiasm for learning, growing, and contributing to diverse project typesWorking knowledge of GIS (ArcGIS, QGIS) for mapping and spatial analysisUnderstanding of sustainable design frameworks such as SITES, LEED, Low Impact Development (LID) strategiesInternship or studio experience in planning, landscape design, or urban designStrong hand-sketching or rapid-ideation abilitiesBenefitsMedicalDentalVisionBasic life insurance401(k) planThe ability to purchase company stock at a discountDeferred compensation planExecutive Deferral PlanUnlimited U.S. Personalized Paid Time Off (PPTO)Seven paid holidaysCaregiver leaveMerit increasesPerformance discretionary bonusStockCompany OverviewJacobs leads the global professional services sector delivering solutions for a more connected, sustainable world.
