They are seeking an Entry Level Fire Protection Engineer to join their Life Sciences team, where the individual will assist in delivering fire protection systems for various advanced facilities while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards. Responsibilities Help deliver and complete challenging and engaging buildings projects, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to address fire protection and life safety challenges during design and construction phases Support the design, analysis, and implementation of fire protection systems for a variety of advanced facilities, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards Provide technical design of sprinkler systems, special hazards suppression systems, fire pumps, fire alarm systems, and building/life safety codes under the guidance of experienced Fire Protection Engineers Assist with Process Safety which encompasses HAZOP, gas detection, and electrical classification studies, under the direction of Environmental, Health, and Safety Engineers Skills Bachelor's Degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or a related field from an ABET or ETAC accredited program Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and design tools such as AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit Prior work or internship experience in Fire Protection Engineering Familiarity with NFPA and ICC codes and standards University level experience with CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) (FDS) modeling and analysis Ability to work in the US without Visa Sponsorship Benefits Medical Dental Vision Basic life insurance 401(k) plan The ability to purchase company stock at a discount Deferred compensation plan Executive Deferral Plan Unlimited U.S. Personalized Paid Time Off (PPTO) policy Seven paid holidays One floating holiday Caregiver leave Merit increases Performance discretionary bonus Stock Company Overview Jacobs leads the global professional services sector delivering solutions for a more connected, sustainable world.
