As an Engineer 1, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and functionality of our properties, ensuring that our guests and colleagues have a memorable and comfortable experience. About the Role This is an exciting opportunity for an entry-level engineer to grow and develop their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment. As an Engineer 1, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks, including general building maintenance, boiler checks, pool checks, and troubleshooting HVAC systems. You will also be required to respond to guest calls and colleague needs, maintain the property, and work on restaurant equipment. Key Responsibilities Perform general building maintenance tasks, including light bulb changing in common areas and in-room maintenance Conduct regular checks on boilers, pools, and other equipment to ensure optimal functionality Troubleshoot HVAC systems and respond to emergency situations Maintain the property, including cleaning and organizing common areas and equipment Work on restaurant equipment and perform other duties as assigned Respond to guest calls and colleague needs in a timely and professional manner Perform PM checks and VIP checks to ensure high standards of maintenance and quality Essential and Preferred Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in maintenance and engineering principles, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. While a High School Diploma and/or Trade School Certification are preferred, we welcome applications from candidates with equivalent maintenance or hospitality experience. Bilingual skills are also helpful but not required. In terms of technical skills, you should have basic knowledge of hand and power tools, as well as basic computer skills. The ability to track and allocate time correctly is also essential. While CPO certification is preferred, it is not required.
