Position Overview
We are seeking a meticulous, detail‑oriented Data Entry Analyst to support our production operations. This entry‑level role is perfect for recent college graduates or early‑career professionals who excel in Excel, thrive in structured environments, and enjoy turning raw field data into actionable insights. The analyst will work on‑site at our headquarters, Monday through Friday, collaborating closely with field engineers, accounting specialists, and senior data managers. This is a full‑time opportunity with a competitive salary range of $60,000–$70,000, commensurate with experience and demonstrated skill.

Key Responsibilities

Production Data Review & Tracking: Examine daily well logs, surface‐production reports, and sensor outputs to ensure accuracy before data entry.
Data Input & Management: Capture field‑generated production numbers into arenaflex’s central database, adhering to strict naming conventions and validation rules.
Monthly Data Settlements: Support the finance team in reconciling production volumes with royalty calculations, lease agreements, and partner allocations.
Well File Organization: Maintain electronic and physical well files, guaranteeing that all documentation—from drilling permits to test results—is correctly indexed and readily accessible.
Invoice Processing: Verify, enter, and cross‑reference invoices from service contractors, vendors, and field operations for timely payment.
Reporting Assistance: Generate routine production summaries, variance analyses, and ad‑hoc reports for internal stakeholders using advanced Excel functions.
Data Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits, flag inconsistencies, and collaborate with field technicians to resolve discrepancies.
Process Improvement: Identify bottlene‑bottlenecks in data workflows and propose automation or procedural refinements.

Essential Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, conditional formatting, and basic macro creation.
Exceptional organizational abilities and a keen eye for detail—mistakes in production data can have significant financial implications.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with field crews, senior analysts, and external vendors.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently while meeting strict deadlines.
Eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

Experience with database tools such as Microsoft Access, SQL, or industry‑specific platforms (e.g., Energy Suite, OpenWorks).
Familiarity with basic accounting principles and invoice reconciliation processes.
Exposure to data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
Understanding of oil and gas production terminology and workflow.
Demonstrated initiative in automating repetitive tasks through Excel macros or simple scripts.

Core Competencies for Success

Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret numerical data and spot trends, outliers, and errors.
Precision & Accuracy: Commitment to entering data without error and double‑checking work before submission.
Collaboration: Comfortable working in cross‑functional teams, sharing insights, and supporting colleagues.
Adaptability: Openness to evolving technologies and willingness to learn new systems as arenaflex modernizes its data infrastructure.
Integrity: Upholding confidentiality of proprietary production information and adhering to corporate compliance standards.
