Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and technically inquisitive Entry-Level Data Engineer - Remote to join our team. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data systems that enable data-driven decision-making. Key Responsibilities


Design, build, and maintain large-scale data systems that enable data-driven decision-making
Develop and implement data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and develop data systems to meet those needs
Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data systems
Troubleshoot and resolve data system issues and optimize data system performance
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and make recommendations for improvements


Essential Qualifications


Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or IT
Project work on data engineering technologies
Highly motivated, self-learner, and technically inquisitive
Experience in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala
Understanding of software development life cycle and data engineering principles
Knowledge of statistics, data visualization tools, and machine learning concepts
Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Preferred Qualifications


Experience with data engineering tools such as Apache Beam, Apache Spark, or Apache Flink
Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or D3.js
Knowledge of machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
Experience with containerization using Docker or Kubernetes
