Entry Level Conveyance Design Engineer

As an Entry Level Conveyance Design Engineer, you will perform routine assignments related to the design of water/wastewater pipelines and pump stations, while receiving guidance from more senior professionals. Responsibilities Performs routine assignments Has an understanding of fundamental theories, principles and concepts Performs structured work assignments Uses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems Receives instruction, guidance and direction from more senior level professionals Aids in conceptual and final design drawings and specification packages for municipal, agricultural, and other water agencies Aids utility research and field investigations Aids in alternatives analyses and route studies to define work in preliminary phases Aids hydraulic and design calculations to support design development Aids in writing technical memorandums and basis of design reports to convey design criteria, alternatives analyses, and concepts to clients and stakeholders Aids in reviewing construction documents and services during construction Aids in contributing to client communications, presentations, and deliverables Communicates effectively internally and externally Develops and maintain mentor and mentee relationships with staff within the conveyance design team Skills Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Agricultural Engineering, or equivalent Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future 0-2 years of experience having exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts on a variety of projects including conveyance pipeline design and/or water/wastewater pump station design Comfortable working both collaboratively and independently Benefits Medical Dental Vision Basic life insurance 401(k) plan Ability to purchase company stock at a discount Deferred compensation plan Executive Deferral Plan Unlimited U.S. Personalized Paid Time Off (PPTO) policy for full-time salaried/exempt employees Seven paid holidays One floating holiday Caregiver leave Merit increases Performance discretionary bonus Stock Company Overview Jacobs leads the global professional services sector delivering solutions for a more connected, sustainable world.
