About the Role As a Behavior Technician at Key Autism Services, you'll play a vital role in delivering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with autism in the comfort of their own homes. Under the guidance and supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you'll work one-on-one with clients, implementing behavior support and treatment plans designed to promote positive behavioral change and skill acquisition. Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one (1:1) in-home ABA therapy to children with autism, fostering a supportive and nurturing environment that encourages growth and development. Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions, using this information to inform treatment plans and drive progress. Conduct discrete trials, implement behavior support, and treatment plans, working collaboratively with BCBA supervisors to ensure the highest quality care. Develop strong relationships with clients, their families, and supervisors, responding to needs and requests in a timely and professional manner. Maintain a high level of professionalism, arriving on time and being prepared for therapy sessions, with a flexible schedule to accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening shifts. Essential Qualifications To succeed as a Behavior Technician at Key Autism Services, you'll need: A Bachelor's Degree or be working towards your degree in a related field (Psychology, Education, or Sociology). At least 1 year of experience working with children in a 1:1 setting, or equivalent experience as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate empathy, understanding, and a compassionate approach. A reliable vehicle and personal means of transportation, with the ability to lift up to 35lbs and perform activities that entail fine and gross motor skills. A willingness to work in both indoor and outdoor settings, responding quickly to the movements and behaviors of children. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Previous experience working in ABA therapy or a related field. Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or a willingness to obtain certification. Experience using Cognitive Behavior Intervention Plans with youth and families.
