Position Title: Enterprise/Platform Architect
Position Status: Contract
Schedule: HYBRID
Overview: Our client is looking for an Enterprise/Platform Architect for a HYBRID position based out of Richmond, VA.
Responsibilities:
ā¢ Seeking an enterprise/platform architect to join the Enterprise Architecture team.
ā¢ This individual will work with key members to balance and prioritize current operational demands, disruptions, and opportunities with the longer-term strategic vision of the organization.
ā¢ Furthermore, the enterprise/platform architect provides technology guidance, road maps, principles, standards, and best practices
ā¢ Provides direction, guidance, and definition of IT Platform architecture to effectively support IT and business strategy.
ā¢ Supports all architectural disciplines and champions architectural initiatives.
ā¢ Reviews existing business processes and establishes metrics to improve business processes, as well as support of all architectural disciplines under their direction.
ā¢ Works on highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge across multiple specialized architecture domains.
ā¢ ligns architecture strategy with business goals.
ā¢ Defines, explains, and advocates technology strategy.
ā¢ Develops and communicates architectural policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
ā¢ Promotes the EA process, outcomes, and results to the organization and senior leadership.
ā¢ Reviews and/or analyzes and develops architectural requirements as needed for the organization.
ā¢ Ensures the conceptual completeness of the technical solutions.
ā¢ Leads teams in developing technology plans.
ā¢ Consults with project teams to fit projects to enterprise architecture, as well as to identify when it is necessary to modify the enterprise architecture.
ā¢ Ensures recommendations are based on business relevance, appropriate timing, and deployment.
ā¢ Collaborates with project management and IT leaders to ensure progress towards architectural alignment with project goals and requirements.
ā¢ Preferred experience includes Esri's GIS tools and platform.
Requirements:
ā¢ 10 Years Experience in technical, substantive, and methodological issues related to design architecture for new or emerging solutions and technologies.
ā¢ 10 Years Experience with various aspects of enterprise architecture with knowledge of one or more formalized frameworks such as NASCIO, TOGAF, FEAF.
ā¢ 10 Years Experience applying application/software/systems development methodologies including agile approaches.
ā¢ 10 Years IT and business/industry work experience including architecture design and deployment, systems lifecycle management, and infrastructure planning.
ā¢ 10 Years Experience in cloud application (Azure/AWS) / GIS architecture.
ā¢ 10 Years Competency with XML constructs and schemas. Experience with API protocols and schemas such as SOAP and REST.
ā¢ 10 Years Create overall application and solution architectures, component designs, and systems integration and implementations for a particular business solution.
ā¢ 7 Years Partner with architects, other technical team members and to develop roadmaps and strategies to support agency KPIs.
ā¢ 5 Years Experience in SaaS (Software as a Service) architecture.
ā¢ 4 Years Experience in defining enterprise metadata standards and an enterprise taxonomy.
