Enterprise Integration Services (EIS) Summer Intern 2026

CareDx offers products, testing services, and digital healthcare solutions along the pre- and post-transplant patient journey, and is the leading provider of genomics-based information for transplant patients.
This internship supports the Enterprise Integration Services (EIS) team by contributing to real-world healthcare integration projects. The intern will assist with gathering and documenting integration requirements, facilitating testing with Software Quality Assurance (SQA) teams, and developing message transformations to support system interoperability. The role provides hands-on exposure to the full integration lifecycle, from intake through testing and deployment.
Responsibilities

Assist in gathering and documenting integration requirements from technical and business stakeholders
Support creation and maintenance of interface specifications and data mapping documents
Collaborate with Software Quality Assurance (SQA) teams to plan, facilitate, and track integration testing
Write or update code and configuration to transform inbound and outbound messages
Analyze test results and help triage defects or data issues
Participate in team meetings, stand-ups, and integration design discussions
Prepare project status updates and present final outcomes at the end of the internship
Perform additional tasks as needed to support EIS team objectives

Required Qualifications

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, Engineering, or a related field
Strong interest in healthcare IT, system integration, or interoperability
Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks within a project timeline
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Basic proficiency in one or more of the following: SQL, scripting languages, or data analysis tools

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

Coursework or exposure to healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, APIs)
Experience with integration engines, APIs, or ETL concepts
Familiarity with software testing or quality assurance processes
Prior internship, project, or academic experience involving systems integration or data transformation

Learning Outcomes:

Hands-on experience supporting end-to-end healthcare integration projects
Exposure to real-world interoperability tools, standards, and workflows
Practical experience collaborating with integration engineers and SQA teams
Improved technical documentation and communication skills
Understanding of how the Enterprise Integration Services team enables data exchange across the organization

#LI-RemoteThis is the anticipated base salary range in the United States. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include, but are not limited to, the type and length of experience within the job, the type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units. CareDx is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.Remote: US only roles$20—$25 USD
