Enterprise Data Strategist REMOTE WORK 51625
We have an immediate long-term contract opportunity with one of our key clients for a position of Enterprise Data Strategist with Data Governance, to work on a remote basis, the client is in Denver, CO so we need someone from MST time zone.
Responsibilities:
Ā Requires an individual with strong knowledge of data governance and data management best practices but also, ideally, someone familiar with statewide processes around data governance.
Ā Collaborate closely with the Department's Project Manager throughout the project lifecycle, incorporating guidance and feedback from the Department into the work.
Ā Join the SLDS (Statewide Longitudinal Data System) project team and conduct interviews with stakeholders to assess their understanding of data governance and identify current needs and challenges.
Ā Establish a clear scope for the data governance strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Ā Facilitate discussions with leadership, including the Executive... Team and Cabinet members, to gain buy-in and support for the data governance strategy.
Ā Develop and implement data governance policies, procedures, and frameworks tailored to the needs of the SLDS project.
Ā Provide ongoing support and guidance to project teams to ensure adherence to data governance principles and practices.
Ā Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of data governance initiatives, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Ā Strong knowledge of data governance principles, best practices, and methodologies.
Ā Experience working with statewide processes related to data governance is highly desirable.
Ā Proven experience in consulting and advising on data governance strategies and implementation.
Ā Ability to engage and influence senior leadership to gain support for data governance initiatives.
Ā Analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex data governance challenges and develop practical solutions.
Ā Experience working in large-scale projects or initiatives, preferably within the public sector or government agencies.
Ā Familiarity with data management technologies and tools is a plus.
Ā Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends and developments in data governance.Top of Form
