Job description: The Enrichment Curriculum Specialist provides centralized project management and course administration for all phases of the enrichment curriculum within the Office of Medical Education (OME) and oversees selective, elective and research curriculum for all four years of medical school. This position works closely with the School's Research leadership in oversight of the research specific activities and enrichment programs, specifically, but not limited to, ARC-MD, MD-PhD and future research specific tracks and programs. They assist with recruitment of faculty (where applicable), project and program management and provide oversight of research experiences for all UC Davis medical students. Equally as important, this individual will be responsible for outreach efforts to departments across UC Davis Health (Sacramento), UC Davis Campus (Davis) and affiliate sites, focused on helping to provide the highest quality experiences that meet the educational, clinical, and research standards necessary to produce competent physicians ready for residency.

Minimum Qualifications
• Experience in developing presentations and reports that identify opportunities and help stimulate discussion and inform decision-making.
• Experience in the use of but not limited to: Microsoft Office Suite, Internet and web-based applications/databases.
• Proofreading experience.
• Interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to clearly and effectively interact with a diverse group of individuals at all levels within the organization.
• Organizational and time management skills to prioritize workload and meet deadlines, develop and carry out project assignments.
• Critical thinking and analytical skills to solve complex problems investigate various sources of information and techniques and develop acceptable solutions.
• Advanced computer skills to select and utilize various software programs such as word-processing, spreadsheets, web searches, web site maintenance, and database management programs.
• Demonstrated skill to develop innovative solutions and programs.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills to interact tactfully and diplomatically with a diverse group of people including faculty, staff, and students; respond to questions and concerns; and comprehend the specialized needs of students from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
• Advanced knowledge and experience working with a diverse student population.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience and skills interpreting policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Experience in eFlight, Elentra, Airtable, and MedHub, or similar systems.
• Experience with website editing and content development.
• Budgeting experience.
• infographic production experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience to interpret and advise effectively on policies, procedures and requirements regarding School of Medicine Curriculum, the SOM Registrar, Financial Aid Office, and the University of California.
• Assessment skills to learn complex practices, processes, and procedures.
• Working knowledge of medical school curriculum.
• Knowledge in the field of adult learning, medical education, competency-based assessment, or related fields.

Department Description

The UC Davis School of Medicine is part of a comprehensive academic health system that excels at translating scientific discoveries and new technology into improved patient care and community-wide health. The Office of Medical Education (OME) is dedicated to the support and advancement of the teaching and research mission(s) of the School of Medicine. The primary goal of the organization is to create a supportive and stimulating learning environment that nurtures the requisite and enduring attitudes, skills, and knowledge required of excellent physicians. Researchers at the UC Davis School of Medicine specialize in a wide range of basic and applied research including those related to neuroscience, environmental health, cancer biology, regenerative medicine, and biomedical technology. The School of Medicine Office of Research manages research awards and proposals, oversees laboratory safety and research space, provides researchers with guidance and support for grant submissions, and facilitates industry alliances and program evaluation.

Salary or Pay Range: $2,494.25 - $4,471.26

Physical Demands and Work Environment
