Engineering Program Manager (EPM)
The role is within the Products & Research (P&R) EPM team in the Analytics Data Engineering (ADE) department.
Work involves:
• Cross-functional EPM DRI for a multi-year Sales & Trends migration program
• EPM for other data science-related and customer-facing analytics systems and projects
• Drive the team’s execution on status reporting, roadmap reviews, and newsletters
The factors I am looking for in an EPM are:
• Strong project management skills
• Strong communication skills
• Strong understanding of technical concepts
• Strong strategic thinking skills
• Able to handle fast paced and ambiguously defined projects with multiple customers and partners
• Familiarity with using a Mac laptop preferred
• Familiarity with big data technology preferred
• Someone who understands and thinks about data and data analytics. Not the “containers” of data (ie, it moves from here to there), but the data inside the containers. What is the meaning of the data in the datasets? How is it transformed? If the data changes, what analytics or metrics would break or would no longer make sense?
