Engineering Manager, Higharc Studio

You will help build expand and improve a revolutionary design tool and web platform for homebuilding.The right candidate for this role knows how to keep advancing rapid feature development through iterative delivery, and uses each iteration to advance product quality and address tech debt. This role will reports to the VP of Engineering and will be remote anywhere in the Americas.What you'll do:Lead the design, specifications, and estimation of engineering projects in the Higharc Studio space, as well as management of team capacity and work assignments.Collaborate closely on a shared problem space with the Building Generation team which focuses on the computational geometry underlying the Studio productMaintain a deep level of understanding of the technical aspects of our product to help facilitate fast, informed decisions.Identify, develop, and institute new processes that raise quality while also delivering rapidly on strategic projectsEffectively inspire, develop, and grow the talent on your team via regular 1:1’s, annual performance reviews, and continual actionable feedbackDevelop a team of high-performing engineers, partnering with senior engineers to multiply their impact, and mentoring more junior engineers.Foster ownership, inclusiveness, accountability, high standards, and urgency in the team.You might be a good fit if you have:Experience building complex, frontend-heavy interactive web applications that are widely used and lovedDemonstrated proficiency with React/Redux applications in TypeScript/JavaScriptBonus points for familiarity with Three.js or similar graphics frameworksSuccess in managing a high-impact team in a remote work environment3+ years of experience as a people lead, with demonstrated ability to ensure the success and growth of your team membersA history of healthy collaboration with product managers, engineers, and other engineering managers on developing roadmaps and working towards them Higharc has been remote first since our founding in 2018.
