The Compute and Networking team is the foundation of Attentive’s engineering organization. We build and operate the compute, storage, networking, and deployment systems that power our scale, processing billions of events from over 100 million users every day. This is a high-impact, high-performance team where infrastructure is treated as a product and reliability is a core feature. Everything is built on top of the compute platform provided by this team, requiring a deep understanding of infrastructure, reliability and scalability. What You'll Accomplish
Lead a team responsible for Kubernetes orchestration, networking, and service mesh infrastructure
Define and execute a roadmap to improve platform scalability, reliability, and efficiency
Partner with Security, Platform, and Application teams to enable secure and seamless developer experiences
Drive automation, observability, and performance improvements across our infrastructure stack
Contribute to incident response, production readiness, and root cause analysis processes
Mentor engineers and help foster a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and collaboration Your Expertise
Proven experience managing infrastructure or platform engineering teams
Strong technical background in Kubernetes, cloud networking, and distributed systems
Hands-on experience building and operating systems at scale in a cloud environment (ideally AWS)
Effective communicator with a track record of working cross-functionally
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical guidance
Good understanding and experience with AWS Infrastructure such as EKS, VPC, Load Balancers Nice to Haves
Experience with Istio, Envoy, or other service mesh technologies
Proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code workflows
Background in developer platforms or internal infrastructure tooling What We Use
Our infrastructure runs primarily in Kubernetes hosted in AWS’s EKS
Infrastructure tooling includes Istio, Datadog,Terraform, CloudFlare, and Helm
Our backend is Java /Spring Boot microservices, built with Gradle, coupled with things like DynamoDB, Kinesis, AirFlow, Postgres, Planetscale, and Redis, hosted via AWS
Our frontend is built with React and TypeScript, and uses best practices like GraphQL, Storybook, Radix UI, Vite, esbuild, and Playwright
Our automation is driven by custom and open source machine learning models, lots of data and built with Python, Metaflow, HuggingFace , PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Pandas Additional Information
