The Engineer-In-Training 1 role involves providing engineering services for transportation planning and design projects, including data analysis, report preparation, and design documentation. Responsibilities Transportation Planning and Phase I Studies Collect and analyze data from reports, maps, drawings and aerial photographs to plan projects Assist in the preparation of transportation project reports Prepares and checks design computations and quantity estimates Use of computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents Assist in the preparation of design plans, specifications, and cost estimates Coordination with regulatory agencies, utility companies and sub-consultants to obtain information, guidance, and requirements Adhere to company standards for quality assurance and quality control as defined in the quality manual Skills Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Must possess 0 to 3 years of relevant transportation engineering work experience Must possess Engineer Intern (EI) registration/licensure Strong oral communication and technical writing skills Proficiency with Microstation and Geopak.
