The Engage Clinical Pharmacist for Stellus Rx will help our communities thrive as a key member of the Engage team. Accountabilities
• A clinical pharmacist is a healthcare professional who specializes in optimizing medication therapy and promoting health and wellness.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Medication Management:
• Assess patient conditions and determine appropriate medication therapy.
• Prescribe and dispense medications in clinical settings like hospitals and outpatient centers.
• Monitor patient responses to medications and adjust treatments as necessary.
• Patient Education:
• Explain treatment regimens to patients and educate them on safe medication use.
• Provide counseling on potential side effects and interactions.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans.
• Research and Development:
• Conduct clinical research on new medications and treatment protocols.
• Review clinical trials and testing results to stay updated on drug efficacy and safety.
• Compliance and Safety:
• Implement safety measures for storing and dispensing medications.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail are critical for success in this role
• Must be licensed to practice as a pharmacist.
• Able to work 10:30AM-7:30PM CST to align with PST hours of operation
