Energy Market Analyst

Enersponse is a Distributed Energy Resource (DER) Management company that connects grid operators and utilities with power consumers. The Energy Market Analyst role involves managing utility, ISO, and third-party reporting requirements, conducting data analysis, and supporting market operations to optimize load management and decarbonize energy. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of utility, ISO, and 3rd Party reporting requirements Assist in preparing and submitting reports to utilities, ISOs, and third-party partners Review data for accuracy and completeness; flag inconsistencies or missing information Maintain organized records of reporting requirements, deadlines, and submissions Support ongoing data tracking and validation efforts Help coordinate with utilities, ISOs, and internal teams to gather required information Track deadlines and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks Assist in monitoring program performance and basic data trends Support Account Managers by helping maintain accurate and up-to-date customer data Identify opportunities for best practice adoption Where applicable, develop new processes that will ensure maximum customer load utilization and revenue in various markets Skills 0–2 years of experience in energy, data analysis, or a related field (internships included) Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with data analysis and reporting tools Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and manage competing priorities Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint Experience in a fast-paced or startup environment Resides in Western NY or Denver CO Bachelor's degree preferred; but Associate's or 2-years advance schooling acceptable 2+ years' experience working within the energy industry Benefits Competitive compensation and opportunity to advance in a small, fast-growing company 100% medical, dental and vision 401(k) Plan Flexible PTO Policy Hybrid work schedule Company Overview Enersponse specializes in Demand Response aggregation for multi-site organizations, partnering It was founded in 2015, and is headquartered in Newport Beach, California, USA, with a workforce of 51-200 employees.
