Job Summary:
The EMS Lead Instructor will be responsible for:
Developing and revising course content and curriculum to meet national standards and current evidence-informed practice
Coordinating programs and courses, including planning, implementation, and evaluation
Presentation of lecture content and supervision of skill labs
Maintaining accurate records and files of courses, students, and programs
Evaluating student progress and providing feedback and counseling
Participating in item development, revision, and analysis to meet accreditation standards
Maintaining contact with clinical affiliation sites and preceptors
Supervising students in clinical areas and providing limited tutoring as requested
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Associate degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred
AHA BLS Instructor, AHA ACLS Instructor, PHTLS or ITLS Instructor, and Instructor of either PALS or PEPP or EPC certifications
Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in a field/clinical setting as a Paramedic or emergency nurse
Documented teaching experience and experience in supervision of instructional staff preferred
Certified Paramedic or Licensed Registered Nurse, NREMT certification preferred
Current certification/licensure in the Program state
