Employment Litigation Paralegal (Fully Remote | Tech-Forward | Winning Culture)

Remote Full-time
About Laurel Employment Law We are not your traditional law firm. Laurel Employment Law is a fully remote, tech-driven plaintiff’s firm that’s redefining how employment law is practiced. We’re a team of smart, ambitious litigators who collaborate to deliver outstanding results for our clients — and we have fun doing it! We use cutting-edge legal tech to eliminate inefficiencies, empower autonomy, and give our attorneys the freedom to focus on what matters: winning for our clients and building meaningful careers. If you thrive in a high-performance, growth-oriented culture and want to do your best work without commuting, micromanagement, or outdated systems, this is the place for you. The Role We’re looking for a standout Employment Law Paralegal who knows plaintiff-side employment litigation inside and out. Someone who can anticipate needs, stay five steps ahead, and operate with the confidence and precision of a true professional. This is a role for a doer — someone who wants real responsibility, real autonomy, and a real seat at the table in a modern, rapidly scaling law firm. You’ll be a core part of our litigation team, helping us move cases forward efficiently, strategically, and relentlessly using The Laurel Way. The Culture Laurel is built different. We started the Firm asking an important question, “what if it didn’t have to suck to work at law firm? In fact, what if it could be kind of awesome?” The result is an award-winning culture where we take the work seriously without ever taking ourselves too seriously. We’ve built a team of winners who work together to get more done, more efficiently, while leaving opposing counsel asking themselves, “how the heck did they do that?” We win and we have fun doing it. It’s a better way to practice. The Laurel Way Laurel is built on a foundation of 3 unique competitive advantages: Technology, Culture, and a Shared Services model that relieves you of the most arduous parts of the job. Imagine having fully drafted demand letters, complaints, discovery requests, discovery responses, and depo notices available to you at a click of a button produced at near-instantaneous speed. Our attorneys get more done, in less time, with far less aggravation. That means more time back in your day to be used in a high-impact way while putting the joy back into your practice of law. What You’ll Do • Conduct legal research and support attorneys in developing case strategy. • Draft pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, motions, and mediation materials. • Work directly with clients to gather information and prepare discovery responses. • Manage case files, deadlines, calendars, and all litigation documents in our cloud-based systems. • Review and summarize employment agreements, contracts, and key documents. • Handle filings, e-service, scheduling, subpoenas, and routine correspondence. • Assist with mediation, settlement preparation, and legal billing. • Communicate with clients to keep cases moving efficiently and deliver a five-star experience. Your Skills & Mindset • 5+ years of plaintiff-side employment law paralegal experience. • 2+ years of litigation experience in California required. • Deep knowledge of wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage & hour, and PAGA/class action cases. • Exceptional organization, communication, and follow-through. • Mastery of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and Clio. • Thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with high standards. • Fluent in English; Spanish fluency is a strong plus. • Based in California and fully remote-ready. • Hungry, proactive, detail-obsessed, and committed to elevating the work of the team around you. Why Laurel • Fully Remote— work from anywhere in California with world-class collaboration tools. • Tech-Enabled Efficiency— we use automation, dashboards, and smart systems so you can focus on lawyering, not admin. • Culture That Wins Together— no egos, no bureaucracy — just sharp, driven people who push and support each other. • Competitive compensation— pay ranges from $80,000–$120,000, depending on experience. • Paid time off, holidays, health insurance, referral bonuses, and real opportunities for advancement. Come Shape the Future of Employment Law If you want to practice law at the highest level — remotely, intelligently, and collaboratively — come build with us. Laurel Employment Law is where talented attorneys thrive, grow, and win.
