About the position

The Employee Relations Specialist, Tier 1 at Teleperformance is a vital role that focuses on communicating, interpreting, and enforcing company policies and procedures while assisting employees with HR-related inquiries. This position requires a strong understanding of the company's culture and values to effectively resolve employment-related issues and support positive interactions between managers and employees. The specialist will be responsible for conducting basic investigations and assisting in more complex cases alongside the Tier 2 Employee Relations Specialist and the Employee Relations Management Team. Accurate documentation and maintenance of case information are crucial aspects of this role. The specialist will also build strong partnerships with various stakeholders, including management, Human Resources Business Partners, the Legal Department, and the Global Incident Response Team. In this role, the Employee Relations Specialist will demonstrate a solid understanding of company policies and relevant employment laws, providing coaching and training to the Operations Team and other departments as needed. The specialist will be expected to resolve cases within appropriate service level agreements (SLAs) while ensuring a positive experience for employees. Additionally, the role involves creating and maintaining excellent documentation regarding all cases and investigations, assisting in the creation of disciplinary actions, and participating in other Employee Relations projects related to the employee experience. The position requires flexibility to work Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM EST, and a commitment to the values of Teleperformance is essential.

Responsibilities
? Communicate, interpret, and enforce company policies and procedures to assist employees with HR-related inquiries.

? Provide direction to management regarding recommendations and resolutions while treating employees with dignity and respect.

? Conduct basic investigations and assist in complex cases related to allegations of harassment, discrimination, accommodation, and retaliation.
,
? Promote knowledge and understanding of company policy and relevant employment laws through coaching and training.
,
? Create and maintain excellent documentation regarding all cases and investigations, including disciplinary actions and performance concerns.
,
? Assist with other Employee Relations project work and consultations related to the employee experience.

Requirements
? 3+ years of experience working in Human Resources with an emphasis on Employee Relations, preferably with exposure to employee investigations.

? Experience leading multiple concurrent employee relations activities with a focus on providing clear guidance and timely execution.
,
? Effective in detailing and documenting case notes, investigation summaries, and correspondence with employees and partners.
,
? Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, developing strong professional relationships with peers, managers, executives, and cross-functional teams.
,
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
,
? Solid understanding of Federal, state, and local regulations, including ADA, FMLA, and Leave of Absence procedures.
