We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Employee Advocate to provide advocacy, coaching, and job retention support to participants at a community-based work site. As an Employee Advocate, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve their full potential and thrive in their careers.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate transportation, research, and implement accommodations to ensure participants' success
Provide coaching and support on schedules, rules, duties, facilities, and soft skills to enhance participants' independence
Build positive relationships with employers, site supervisors, and participants to foster a supportive work environment
Collect data, record progress, and complete required documentation to ensure accurate tracking and evaluation
Assist with identifying natural supports in the community and referring participants to other programs as needed

Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree with relevant experience preferred
Current Workplace Supports Certification or completion within first 6 months of employment
Current CPR/First Aid Certification or completion within 90 days of employment
Strong organizational skills, effective time management, and ability to work independently
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities helpful
