Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate student learning by implementing specific curriculum within the Southeast Island School District
Establish and develop positive relationships with students, families, staff, and the public
Communicate effectively with students, families, school staff, and public
Prepare, maintain, and organize appropriate records, reports, and forms as required
Utilize instructional technology tools to enhance learning opportunities for students
Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students
Requirements:
Baccalaureate degree in appropriate academic field or verifiable training/experience in Alaska Native language/culture or in a vocational/technical field
Alaska Type A, C, or M Teaching Certificate as appropriate to assignment
Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding school district related matters, students, families, and staff
Physical ability to safely, regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
