Elementary School Social Worker(12 Week Assignment) -Glendale Heights, IL
Full-Time | Immediate Start | Student-Focused Role
Blazer Jobs is actively seeking a compassionate and qualified School Social Worker to join a supportive elementary school team in Glendale Heights, Illinois. This full-time, 12-week assignment is ideal for professionals who are passionate about student advocacy and committed to helping children navigate social, emotional, and academic challenges in a school setting.
Position Highlights:
• Location: Glendale Heights, IL
• Schedule: Full-Time | Standard School Hours
• Duration: 12-week assignment (with potential for extension)
• Grade Level: Elementary school students
Responsibilities:
• Provide direct social-emotional support to students through group and individual counseling
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention strategies
• Conduct assessments and contribute to IEP and 504 plan development
• Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and outside community agencies
• Support students’ mental health, behavior, and attendance needs
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
Required Credentials:
• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution
• Active Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker Endorsement in the state of Illinois
• Previous experience in an elementary school setting preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
• Must pass background check and any district-required screenings
