Job Overview: Elementary School Tutor -- Part-Time As an Elementary School Tutor with Green Wing Inc./Tutoring Wisconsin, you'll play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of K-5 students. This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to work with students who require extra support in various subjects, including reading, writing, mathematics, and more. You'll work closely with our team to develop and implement customized lesson plans, teach executive and organizational skills, and provide ongoing support to students and families. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to elementary school students (K-5) in a remote setting Develop and implement customized lesson plans to meet the unique needs of each student Teach executive, organizational, and study skills to help students succeed academically Address existing clients' concerns, questions, and requests in a timely and professional manner Submit session reports to our office and families within 24 hours of each tutoring session Utilize basic database/data entry skills to maintain accurate records and track student progress Leverage technology, including computers, smartphones, and recording devices, to facilitate tutoring sessions and communication with families Essential Qualifications: At least 2 years of experience in the education field and industry 2+ years of experience in tutoring/teaching in specialized education fields (e.g., special education, reading, mathematics) Experience teaching students with dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and dyslexia is a plus but not required Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees are preferred but not required Strong administration skills, including organization, time management, and communication Proficient in basic computer skills, including typing, data entry, and recording Reliable transportation with current car insurance is a must Access to a computer, smartphone, and internet connection Preferred Skills and Competencies: Experience working with students in a remote or online setting Familiarity with educational software and technology Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs Passion for education and making a positive impact on young lives Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Green Wing Inc./Tutoring Wisconsin, we're committed to supporting the professional growth and development of our tutors.
