Overview

You'll play a key role in supporting the growth and development of young children. You'll work closely with families to foster positive relationships and create an environment that promotes healthy development. This role involves conducting screenings and assessments, crafting individualized learning plans, and implementing engaging curricula to support each child's milestones... Additionally, you'll participate in family events and maintain thorough records in line with various performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Child Interaction: Build positive relationships with children, supporting their individual learning and social-emotional growth.

Family Engagement: Communicate respectfully with families, involving them in educational planning and implementation.

Screenings and Assessments: Complete child development screenings and assessments, and use the results to develop and adjust individualized learning plans (ISRP).

Curriculum Implementation: Create and implement lesson plans tailored to each child's developmental needs, including health, safety, nutrition, and social-emotional activities.

Classroom Management: Develop class schedules and routines, and collaborate with other educators in planning, observing, and documenting children's progress.

Family and Community Collaboration: Conduct home visits and parent-teacher conferences, and work with third-party agencies as needed. Participate in center family events and support family involvement.

Transition Planning: Assist in developing and executing transition plans for children moving between classrooms or programs.

Professional Development: Maintain records as per performance standards, engage in ongoing professional development, and seek additional training to support your goals.

Additional Duties: Provide mentorship and technical support to colleagues, participate in center activities, and perform other duties as assigned.

Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a diverse environment.

Proficiency in MS Office and relevant software.

Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.

Working Environment

Primarily in a classroom setting, with occasional meetings and activities in various locations.

Travel may be required for professional development.

Remote Work

Remote work is subject to business needs and may be available in certain circumstances. Approval from a supervisor is required.

Physical Demands

Engage in daily outdoor activities and be able to move around frequently. Ability to carry up to 10 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications

AA or BA in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field, with 2-3 years of experience in early learning environments.

Physical exam and TB test documentation required.

Successful driver's check if applicable.

Background checks and fingerprinting as per regulatory requirements.

Salary And Benefits

Salary range: $25.07 - $34.57 per hour, depending on experience.

Benefits include 10 days of vacation leave annually, three Employee Appreciation Days, sick leave, 15 paid holidays, and EAP and mental health benefits.
