Job Description: I'm seeking an experienced educational writer or curriculum designer to help create three grade-specific versions (Kindergarten, 6th Grade, and 11th Grade) of a neighborhood or community study unit. This unit is designed to help educators integrate student identity, place-based learning, and culturally responsive pedagogy into academic instruction. The final product will also include adaptations for school counselors, social workers, and restorative circle facilitators. Your writing will contribute directly to an appendix for the manuscript, offering ready-to-use guidance and examples across developmental levels. ✅ Scope of Work: Draft 3 developmentally appropriate versions of a community or neighborhood study unit using the Understanding by Design (UbD) framework, which emphasizes planning with the end in mind.
