Part-Time Ecommerce & Marketing Operations Assistant
10 hours/week | Remote | Contract | $20/hr
About Us:
Alpinistas is a women’s outdoor gear store rooted in mountain culture. We’re not your average retailer — we’re building a brand that supports women adventurers through technical apparel, inclusive community, and real-world adventure.
Our ecommerce store runs on BigCommerce, and we use Klaviyo for email marketing. We’re looking for someone to step in and help keep our digital operations sharp, organized, and ready to scale — someone who loves systems, gear, and supporting a mission-driven brand.
The Role:
You’ll be our go-to ecommerce support — handling product uploads, keeping our store backend organized, updating collections, and supporting basic marketing and customer service workflows.
This is a perfect role for someone who’s detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable following structured processes. Bonus if you're outdoorsy and excited by the brands we carry.
Responsibilities:
Add and organize new products in BigCommerce (images, pricing, tags, categories)
Maintain collections and ensure products are merchandised correctly
Format and upload product descriptions using templates or vendor copy
Track inventory visibility and sync with promotions or launches
Assist with basic email marketing setup using templates (e.g., product launches, promos)
Respond to basic customer service inquiries (returns, shipping, sizing questions)
Maintain task boards and calendars in Airtable
What You Bring:
Based in the U.S. and available in Pacific or Mountain time zones (or flexible)
Experience with BigCommerce, Shopify, or a similar ecommerce platform
Familiarity with Klaviyo or a willingness to learn it quickly
Excellent communication, spelling, and attention to detail
Comfortable with structured tools like Google Sheets or Airtable
Bonus: Interest in the outdoors or experience with outdoor gear
Pay & Perks:
$20/hour
10 hours/week, flexible schedule with occasional seasonal spikes
Long term commitment - due to processes, not ideal for short term gig
