Earned Media Summer Intern

About The Role:We are currently searching for an Intern who is passionate about Earned Media Public Relations to join our team. This intern will have the opportunity of hands-on experience on a variety of interesting projects for high-profile clients as a member of Zeno's earned media team.To be considered, you must submit the following with your application:- A resume of relevant work, education, and extra-curricular experiences. - Should your qualifications align with our needs, we will reach out for you to complete the Earned Media Intern Writing Assessment. Responsibilities Work closely with Zeno Media Network, the global earned media specialist team, while learning the basics of an earned-first, data-driven approachSupport the day-to-day administrative tasks for the earned media team and earned media activities across 3-5 accountsMonitor client and competitor media coverage for accounts and distribute coverage results for teamsIdentify key trends across social media and media to help teams jump on current buzzworthy opportunities for coverageSupport Zeno Media Network with development of materials Draft media materials, including but not limited to press releases, media lists, fact sheets, briefing sheets and pitches Conduct research to aid in the strategy development process for current clients and new business pitchesLearn to use essential tools, including Cision, and MuckRack Participate in brainstorm sessions and program ideationCreate and distribute mailers, press kits and briefing kits Qualifications Passion for and understanding of media relationsMust have an appreciation for reading/watching the news – often starts conversations with, “Did you see that thing in [media outlet]?”Interest in securing coverage for high-profile brands and regularly pitching news to journalistsAlways in the know on the latest viral trends and what is currently breaking the internetCan confidently speak up to share new ideasExcellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills Driven, resourceful, organized and interested in learning new things Collaborative spirit, results driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work against deadlinesMust be proactive and able to operate effectively both independently and within a teamBasic understanding of social media platforms, preferably Instagram and TikTokMS Office proficiency is a mustFamiliar with the public relations, marketing, or communications discipline through past coursework, internships or personal experiences Additional Information Pay rate: $18/hour USDAn employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
