Early Childhood Educator - Pre-K Teacher
**Overview:** We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Early Childhood Educator - Pre-K Teacher to provide a high-quality learning experience for four-year-olds and engage with families in our Pre-K program. **Responsibilities:**
Ā Develop and regularly modify the classroom learning environment to meet the developmental needs of young children for engaged learning opportunities. * Create and implement an integrated curriculum that addresses the learning needs of four-year-old children across all developmental domains (Social/Emotional, Language, Motor, Cognition). * Implement state required documents and processes for home visits, student portfolio assessment documentation and data reporting, lesson plans, and family-teacher conference summary sheet. * Conduct developmental screening on all PreK children and provide parent education on the developmental milestones of young children. * Plan and implement activities with parents to strengthen their role in their child's education. * Establish communication with early childhood community-based programs, other early childhood district-based programs, and with kindergarten teachers. * Exhibit strong organizational skills in keeping student data and anecdotal records on students' learning progress. * Participate in mandatory NM PreK professional development opportunities and District early childhood professional development events. * Articulate the NM PreK program philosophies, procedures, and early learning outcomes as necessary. **Qualifications:**
Ā Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field
Ā Valid NM Teacher's license appropriate to teaching assignment (250 Birth - 3rd Grade, 251 Birth - PreK, or 252 PreK - 3rd Grade)
Ā Five years of teaching experience preferred in early childhood education and working with parents
