Acentra is looking for a EAP Counselor to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

The EAP Consultant performs clinical telephonic assessments and consultations, delivering comprehensive referrals and ensuring diligent follow-up for managers, employees, and their family members covered by the Employee Assistance Program

Job Responsibilities:
• Conduct both routine and urgent clinical risk assessments, offering expert consultations, short-term issue resolution, and comprehensive referral services for all members seeking assistance.
• Provide management consultation services to various levels of management and human resources within our broad customer base. The EAP Consultant must demonstrate proficiency in assessing a wide spectrum of workplace issues and devising suitable action plans, remaining well-versed in essential workplace legislations like ADA, DOT, Sexual Harassment, and Duty to Warn.
• Display a comprehensive understanding of the organization's customer base, staying updated on issues affecting customers from both legislative and customer-specific standpoints.
• Engage in additional assigned duties to support internal and external customers in achieving the EAP department's goals

Requirements

Required Qualifications/Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work Required.
• Active, unrestricted SW license
• Minimum 3 years of Social Work experience w/older adult population in a healthcare environment
• 5 years of clinical experience with a minimum of 1-3 years of case management review experience required

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
• Master of social work (MSW) or Case Management Certificate (CCM) Preferred

Additional Qualifications:
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and other applications in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain metrics and goals within the department
• Work telephonically, and with computer systems
• Assist members, and conduct outreach to members without prior engagement
• Flexibility and strong organizational skills
• Strong understanding of cultural competency when working with the population
• Experience with commercial health plans
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize with variable and sometimes conflicting deadlines; superior attention to detail and demonstrated ability in decision-making.
• Demonstrated initiative and judgment in the performance of job responsibilities
• Maintain professionalism, flexibility, and dependability under pressure.
• Strong communication (written/verbal), interpersonal, organizational, time management and communication skills with a strong focus on customer service, including building and maintaining relationships with internal/external customers and facilitating meetings.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to research/identify and apply appropriate standards of care.
• Interest in continuous learning and a commitment to staying informed on regulatory changes

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $25.90-$43.15
