Position Overview
The Temporary Customer Service Associate role is a front‑line, high‑visibility position that blends exceptional guest service with seamless retail operations. In this temporary but impactful assignment, you will model and deliver a distinctive, delightful customer experience while expertly handling sales transactions, maintaining store presentation, and supporting specialized service areas such as our photo studio and online order pick‑up zone.

Key Responsibilities

Delightful Guest Interaction: Greet every customer and patient with warmth, maintain eye contact, and proactively identify needs. Offer assistance that reflects arenaflex service traits—anticipating help, ensuring satisfaction, and resolving concerns on the spot.
Accurate Cash Register Operations: Process sales on the assigned register, handle cash, credit, and electronic payments, and manage voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges with precision.
Suggestive Selling & Product Recommendation: Identify complementary items, trade‑up opportunities, and promotional merchandise that enhance the shopper’s basket and increase store value.
Merchandising & Shelf Management: Keep counters and shelves clean, well‑stocked, and visually appealing. Perform inventory checks, price tags, and follow merchandising directives from the store manager or shift leader.
Asset Protection & Compliance: Implement arenaflex asset protection procedures to minimize shrinkage. Ensure strict adherence to state and local regulations for regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.
Display Construction & Seasonal Reset: Build and maintain promotional, seasonal, and clearance displays. Execute store resets and revisions as directed, ensuring brand consistency.
Food‑Safety & Stock Rotation: Separate raw and pre‑cooked foods according to policy, rotate stock using the first‑in‑first‑out (FIFO) method, and restock out‑of‑stock items efficiently.
Photo Services Expertise: Operate the arenaflex Photo Services area—assist with digital passport photos, poster prints, creative machine projects, and upsell promotional photo products.
Web Pick‑Up Coordination: Monitor online orders in arenaflex Photo Services system, pick items accurately, and deliver finished orders to customers arriving in‑store.
Store Maintenance & Appearance: Contribute to both interior and exterior upkeep, ensuring a clean, neat, and orderly environment that reflects the brand’s high standards.
Team Collaboration & Respectful Conduct: Uphold all arenaflex policies, foster respectful relationships with colleagues, and complete any special assignments as delegated by leadership.
Continuous Learning: Attend scheduled training sessions, complete performance‑linked learning modules (PPLs), and stay current on product knowledge and service protocols.


Essential Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent; additional education or retail certifications are a plus.
Previous experience in a customer‑facing retail, hospitality, or service‑oriented environment.
Strong mathematical aptitude for cash handling and transaction accuracy.
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, listen actively, and resolve issues with empathy.
Basic familiarity with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and retail technology platforms.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lb, and perform repetitive motions required for stocking and merchandising.
