Position Overview
As a Teller/Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be the front‑line ambassador of our brand, handling cash transactions, providing accurate banking services, and delivering world‑class customer support across all branch locations. This full‑time position involves a dynamic schedule that may include weekdays, Saturdays, and occasional weekend assignments, reflecting our commitment to convenient service for every client.

Core Responsibilities

Receive and verify checks and cash deposits, ensuring accuracy against deposit slips.
Enter customer transactions into the core banking system, generate and distribute computer‑produced receipts.
Balance currency, coins, and checks within the cash drawer at shift end, using calculators, computers, or automated counting machines.
Examine endorsements, dates, bank names, and identification on checks to confirm legality and sufficient funds.
Process and prepare cashier’s checks, mortgage payments, consumer loan payments, and other scheduled disbursements.
Execute telephone transfers and wire transfers after authenticating customer identity.
Assist customers with inquiries about services such as ATM cards, direct deposit, safe‑deposit boxes, and electronic fund transfers (EFT).
Refer clients to specialized bank personnel for deeper financial needs, fostering cross‑sell opportunities.
Investigate and resolve transaction errors, maintaining meticulous records and issuing corrected receipts.
Perform foreign currency exchanges and manage related documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
Utilize ATM technology to replenish cash, troubleshoot issues, and conduct nightly deposits.
Place holds on accounts, process stop‑payment requests, and handle cash advances per policy.
Collect, scan, and file customer identification, signature cards, and essential forms while preserving data confidentiality.
Promote and sell ancillary products—gift cards, money orders, and special‑purpose checks—tailoring recommendations to customer needs.
Participate actively in community events, festivals, and volunteer initiatives representing arenaflex’s brand values.
Continuously develop knowledge of new account documentation, compliance regulations, and product features.
Maintain a clean, organized workstation and adhere to all security and regulatory protocols.
Other duties as assigned, reflecting the versatile nature of the role.


Essential Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or higher in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 1–2 years of banking, cash handling, or customer‑service experience in a fast‑moving environment.
Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy while processing high‑volume transactions.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; professional phone and email etiquette.
Proficiency with computer systems, banking software, and standard office applications (MS Office, Outlook).
Ability to travel between arenaflex branches as schedule demands.
Excellent judgment, decision‑making, and problem‑solving capabilities, especially when addressing customer concerns.
Commitment to confidentiality, security, and ethical standards in handling financial information.
Dependable attendance record and punctuality for each scheduled shift.
Physical ability to lift cash bags and perform repetitive hand movements associated with counting currency.


Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience with core banking platforms (e.g., FIS, Jack Henry, Temenos).
Certification in cash handling or financial services (e.g., Certified Bank Teller – CBT).
Fluency in a second language to serve diverse community members.
Experience with ATM maintenance or back‑office treasury operations.
Demonstrated track record of cross‑selling banking products and meeting sales targets.

Schedule & Location
This full‑time position typically follows the schedule below, with occasional flexibility to meet branch needs:

Monday‑Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Saturday: 8:45 AM – 12:30 PM (as required)
Additional weekend coverage may be requested during peak periods.

The role is performed in‑person at various arenaflex branch locations, with travel between sites as necessary.
