DX Spectrum Network Administrator

Overview: We are seeking a DX Spectrum Network Administrator with expertise in topology mapping and data flow management within energy grids. This role focuses on cleaning up network topology, migrating substations into Broadcom DX Spectrum, and ensuring accurate representation of grid infrastructure. The ideal candidate has experience in network visualization, data flow analysis, and topology mapping and is comfortable transitioning from Visio-based mapping to DX Spectrum's topology management tools. Key Responsibilities: 1. Topology Mapping & Cleanup • Perform Topology Mapping Cleanup to ensure accurate representation of energy grid infrastructure, including substations, transmission lines, and connections. • Resolve mapping inconsistencies related to data flow and wireframing within the Broadcom DX NetOps topology tool. • Transition existing Visio-based topology maps into DX Spectrum, ensuring seamless migration of substations and infrastructure details. • Leverage DX Spectrum's topology mapping tool to improve visibility into grid structure and connectivity. • Work with large-scale network models, ensuring that physical and logical connections are accurately represented. 2. Collaboration & Documentation • Collaborate with network engineers, grid operators, and IT teams to validate and refine topology models. • Document topology changes, mapping challenges, and resolution strategies for future reference. • Create guidelines and best practices for managing topology mapping within DX Spectrum. • Provide reports on progress, data inconsistencies, and completed topology cleanup efforts. 3. Migration & System Transition Support • Assist in migrating substations and network elements from Visio-based mapping to DX Spectrum. • Understand the complexity and variability of migration times, which range from 1-5 hours per substation. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the topology migration process. • Ensure accurate data entry and submission of topology updates using Reedit and DX Spectrum's interface. Qualifications: • Experience with Broadcom DX NetOps, DX Spectrum, and topology management tools. • Strong understanding of energy grid topology (substations, transmission lines, power flow). • Proficiency in network visualization and topology mapping tools (Visio, DX Spectrum). • Familiarity with data flow, wireframing, and grid infrastructure connectivity. • Excellent documentation and reporting skills. • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment. Preferred Qualifications: • Prior experience with network operations, power grid management, or infrastructure topology mapping. • Familiarity with migration processes and system transitions from Visio to DX Spectrum. • Understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and system administration.
