About the position

At Coca-Cola Beverages Northeast, the Driver Merchandiser plays a crucial role in delivering our iconic beverage brands to local stores, restaurants, cafeterias, and vending machines. This position is not just about driving; it encompasses a commitment to exceptional customer service and the efficient delivery of products. As a Driver Merchandiser, you will be responsible for ensuring that products are delivered on time and in full, while also stocking shelves and coolers in accordance with company standards. This role requires a professional demeanor, as you will serve as an ambassador for Coca-Cola, representing one of the world's most recognized brands. The job entails delivering products to customers on assigned routes, merchandising, displaying, and rotating products to maintain freshness and compliance with company standards. You will also be responsible for picking up company property, invoicing, collecting amounts due, and settling accounts daily. Ensuring compliance with regulatory and company policies is paramount, as is providing superior customer service and fostering strong relationships with store management and personnel. To succeed in this role, you must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License and have a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). The position requires a high school diploma or GED, along with 1-3 years of general work experience, and at least 1 year of commercial driving experience is preferred. The ability to lift, pull, and push heavy loads, as well as operate manual and powered material handling equipment, is essential. Self-motivation, integrity, and the ability to work independently are key attributes for this position.

Responsibilities
• Deliver products to customers on assigned routes

• Merchandise, display and rotate products according to company standards

• Pick up company property and returns

• Move, lift and load product and company property

• Invoice and collect amounts due; settle accounts daily

• Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures

• Provide superior customer service and foster relationships with store management and personnel

Requirements
• Valid CDL-A
,
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
,
• 1-3 years of general work experience required
,
• 1+ years of commercial driving experience preferred
,
• Previous route delivery, direct store delivery, stocking, merchandising, retail management and/or customer service experience preferred
,
• Ability to repetitively lift, pull and push 50+ pounds
,
• Ability to reach above head height, stand, walk, kneel, bend and reach
,
• Ability to push and pull manual and powered material handling equipment (i.e., pallet jack, hand-truck etc.) containing product loads for a minimum of 100 yards without assistance
,
• Self-motivated with a high degree of integrity
